<p>Parent patent described a valve network controlling the flow of cooling water through dies. The novelty is that adjusting units are actuated manually or by a control signal so that, at the start of casting, the control valves open slowly until they rich limit stops. When casting is stopped, a time relay is actuated, so that after a specific lapse of time the adjusting units are actuated in the reverse direction so the control valves are slowly closed. Simplification of the appts. described in the main patent so that a contact thermometer is no longer required.</p> |
