<p>A laser beam recorder which scans with a laser beam modulated in accordance with picture information using a semiconductor laser (1) as a light source. The driving current of the laser (1) is obtained via a sample and hold circuit (65) to maintain the monitor current of the light output constantly before starting the recording of picture information and is used as the drive current of the laser (1) in the picture information recording time. The gate of a picture information sweeping circuit (67) is opened or closed by a synchronizing controlling circuit (68), thereby modulating the laser (1) and recording on a photosensitive member with the laser beam.</p> |
