PURPOSE:To prevent an over-heating with a simple construction by a method wherein heat radiation means is arranged at a heat pipe for preventing an over- heating having nonreactive gas to a thermo-medium being sealed therein. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 6 enclosing a gas 12 which is non-reactive to thermo-medium 10 is arranged such that it may be heat exchanged with a header 4 for use in transmitting thermo-medium from a heat pipe 3 acting as a heat collector pipe to a surrounding area, and a heat radiation part 8 having radiation fins 9 is projected at the end part of the pipe 6. Under a normal condition, a part of the thermo-medium 10 contained in the pipe 6 is vaporized to a thermo-medium 11 and also the gas 12 is present above the fins 9, so that a heat loss caused by the pipe 6 may scarcely occurs. When a temperature at a heat receiving part 7 is increased due to some cause, a volume of the thermo- medium 11 is increased and the fins 9 show a high temperature, so that a heat radiation is initiated toward the surrounding air to prevent an over-heating.
