<p>The invention provides a vapor dispenser for the emission of a vaporizable substance exhibiting an activity in the atmosphere in a trace concentration, such as an insectan sex pheromone used in pest control, at a controlled uniform rate, a large number of which can be distributed in the field with minimum labor, for example, by tying to and hanging on the twigs of tea plants in a tea garden. The inventive vapor dispenser comprises a plastic-made tubular body having a specific cross sectional area of the pore and a specific outer circumferential length filled with the vaporizable substance and a coated or uncoated metal wire bonded to the tubular body side-by-side, said metal having a Brinell hardness of 65 or smaller, to facilitate tying works and stability of the the dispenser tied and hung on the twigs by virtue of the moderate deformability and shape-retainability of the wire.</p> |
