PURPOSE:To shorten ring time without using a damper by short-circuiting all exciting coils, to which exciting pulses are not supplied, at the last point of time of the number of drive pulses. CONSTITUTION:The exciting pulses phi1-phi4 from an exciting pulse generating circuit 10 are inputted to each base of the transistors 111-114, emitters thereof are grounded, of the pulse motor, and each collector is connected to the exciting coils 121-124. When a predetermined number of the drive pulses are given, the transistors 111-114 are operated successively, and the motor is driven at steps. Switches 201-204, which shunt and short-circuit, are each mounted to the exciting coils 121-124, and all the exciting coils, to which the exciting pulses are not supplied at the last pulse of the drive pulses or before one pulse of the last pulse, are short-circuited. |
