Proportional electromagnetic actuator - has armature bearing with sintered rings and polymer contact surfaces

The actuator for linear motion is designed with an armature bearing that minimises frictional effects. The armature (1) of the actuator is located in the cylindrical bore of an intermediate tube (6) and yoke (7) that lie between end caps (4,5). The coil (8) is supported in the cylindrical housing (9) of the main body. Support for the armature is provided by two bearing rings (11) that are produced with contract sectors. The material used in the sintered type and the contact sectors are of a polymer.
