PURPOSE:To obtain a battery capable of feeding enough electric power for the necessary period of time when needed, by making a substance selected from Al, Mn and Zn to be a negative active material, and by providing an entrance to insert the negative active material in the battery case, CONSTITUTION:An electrode 1 is made of a porous substance comprising carbon powder, polytetraethylene and air reaction catalyst; and the negative electrode whose shape is like a coin having a certain shape is made of a negative active material selected from Al, Mn and Zn. A battery case 2 is provided with a conductive net 3 made of carbon fiber, a cap 4 for electrolytic solution inlet and the entrance slot 5 for the coin-like negative electrode. Alkali electrolyte such as KOH aqueous solution and neutral electrolyte such as KCl aqueous solution is used as the electrolyte. |
