A device for use in a heat exchanger unit having a wound finned tube contains a tube bearing having a vertical section and multiple side sections, each side section having an opening. A bearing tube is inserted through the openings in the side sections of the tube bearing, so that the wound finned tube lengths are secured between the tube bearing and the bearing tube. A longitudinal bearing section of the tube bearing can additionally have notches for securing the various wound finned tube lengths. In order to secure the tubular bearing device, pins or other securing devices are inserted in the ends of the tubular bearing, so that the bearing tube is firmly secured to the tube bearing arrangement. The pins are secured either to the bottom trough or to the structural insert of the unit, and form a tube bearing arrangement as an integral part of the heat exchanger unit.
