Letter transfer system for notice board - uses rubbing foil correctly located by clamp sliding in grooves in board

The arrangement is intended for applying lettering to the surface of a text plate (4) held in grooves in a notice board (1). It involves transferring individual characters (21) carried on the rear surface of a foil sheet (3,20) to that plate by rubbing. The character carrier (3) and the text plate are vertically aligned relative to one another and to the board by parallel guide grooves (5a-H etc) which pemit relative sliding movement of carrier and plate to obtain the desired character spacing. The plate may be located in the two lower grooves whilst the carrier is locatable by a spring clamp element (2)slidable in one of the grooves (5a-H).
