PURPOSE:To enable execution of 4-way control through combination of under- mentioned valves, to compact structure, and to improve reliability, by a method wherein a selection control valve, a speed step switching valve, and two solenoid valves to switch aforesaid two valves are provided. CONSTITUTION:Title structure is provided with a selection control valve 1, performing 2-way control of a clutch feed pressure through switching motion, a speed step switching valve 2, feeding a clutch feed pressure to either of 1-4 step clutch through switching motion, a solenoid valve 18, performing switching of a selection control valve 1, and a solenoid valve 20, effecting switching of the speed step switching valve 2. Thus, by the ON and OFF operation of the two solenoid valves 18 and 20 according to a speed step, switching of the selection control valve 1 and the speed step switching valve 2 is performed, and a clutch feed pressure can be fed to the given clutch of 1-4 step clutch. As noted above, 4-way control is practicable through combination of the above valves, clutch hydraulic circuit structure is compacted, a cost is reduced, and reliability is improved.
