PURPOSE:To obtain a display plate for timepiece of good quality having no uneven thickness by embedding a resin or the like on the top surface of a base plate, and providing at least 3 projections higher than said resin on the outside circumferential part. CONSTITUTION:At least three or more projections 3 are provided on the top surface of the outside circumferential part that cannot be viewed from the top surface of a substrate 1 for a display plate when incorporated into a timepiece case. These projections 3 are formed accurately by striking, electrocasting or other working methods to the height about the same as the thickness of the base plate and higher than a resin 2 in a way as to be uniform in respective heights. The thermosetting resin 2 is embedded on the top surface of the plate 1 and a required color is painted as a necessary amt. thereon to meet the design of the entire part of the display plat. Despite the presence of variance in the painting quantity of the embedded resin in the plate 1 and the occurrence of ruggedness, the projections 3 play the role of guide for a polishing disc and the display plate of good quality free from uneven thickness is obtained. |
