The window operating mechanism for a vehicle uses a rotating disc (3) to wind and unwind a push-pull cable (2) controlling the lifting and lowering of the window. The disc has an internally toothed flange (12) engaged by a motor driven pinion (18) forming the rotary drive. An extension of this flange contains a spiral groove (5) to hold the cable. The groove can be trapezoidal in section, and its open side is closed by a cover (4). The groove is made up of arcs of a circle (7,10) and connecting zones. On the cover is mounted a tube (24), tangential to the point where the cable leaves the groove, with a lug which fits into a groove parallel to the cable groove. The cable is also guided at this point by a T shaped guide with its sloping end covering the full width of the cable groove. An alternative design has a round section cable groove.
|
