The system stores solid fuel and supplies it to a domestic central-heating boiler, in block, granular or powder form, and comprises a hopper (1) connected by a feed mechanism to the boiler inlet (19). The hopper is square or rectangular, with its bottom formed by two walls (3) in a V-pattern and sloping towards each other to form a trough at ground level. The fuel is delivered by a spiral metal wire (12), part of which is held close to the trough, while the rest works in a flexible sheath (17) leading from the hopper, and with a lateral discharge opening (18) at the end. A wire-driving motor (20) is mounted at the end of the sheath.
