The convertible seat and setee has a removable cover (16). The cover covers at least part of the top of the seat, and at least certain of the sides of the seat. The cover is mounted on a rigid frame (14) which can be lifted up and is hinged on the framework of the seat on a horizontal axis (X). The cover consists of padding covered on two surfaces by a covering. The axle (X) is situated where the back (3) and the seat-part (1) are joined.
