PURPOSE:To shorten the insulating distance and to enable miniaturization and reduction of the weight of a high voltage auto-transformer by a method wherein electric potential of end part shielding rings of winding end parts is made lower than that of the winding ends, and the generating voltage between the windings on the earth side and the winding to come on the low voltage side are reduced. CONSTITUTION:A shunt winding 3 and a series winding 4 are wound concentrically in order from the inside on a core leg 1, the primary terminal 5 is led out from the nearly center part of the series winding 4, and the upper end part of the shunt winging 3 and the upper and lower end parts of the series winding 4 are connected with lead wires 9, 6, 7 to be led out to the secondary terminal 8. The shielding rings 18, 14, 16 are arranged respectively at the upper end part of the shunt winding 3 and at the upper and lower end parts of the series winding 4. Electric potential lower than the electric potential of the secondary terminal 8 is led out from the middle of the shunt winding 3 through a potential lead out wire 30, and is connected to the upper end part shielding ring 18 of the shunt winding 3 and to the upper and lower end parts shielding rings 14, 16 of the series winding 4 with lead wires 31, 32. Accordingly generating voltge to the earth can be reduced. |
