Method according to which the instantaneous value of the voltage is analysed by comparing it with its nominal value and the switching to this other source is ordered in the event of an anomaly in the voltage. The voltage is continuously sampled and each value from the sample is converted into a digital value, this digital value is compared with the theoretical nominal value which it should have, the theoretical values as well as the tolerated deviations from these theoretical values being previously placed in memory, there is automatic switching to the other source and, after a lapse of time in which the sources overlap, disconnection of the monitored source when a specified number of successive comparisons reveals deviations, in absolute value, between the relevant voltage sample and the corresponding theoretical nominal value which are greater than the memorised tolerated deviation for this value. The use of digital values and of a programmable logic unit confers high flexibility.

|
