PURPOSE:To obtain a cleaning device which has superior cleaning characteristics and durability by installing a prescribed doctor blade and fur brush in the same casing in series in the moving direction of a transfer carrier. CONSTITUTION:In a casing 3, a doctor blade 4 and a fur brush 5 are provided in series in the moving direction of a photosensitive drum 1. Excessive toner on the drum 1 is brushed off with the tongue 17g of an oscillaroty plate 17 oscillating with an agitator before it forms a lump, so that no lump of toner is produced. This excessive toner is scraped off from the drum 1 with the doctor blade 4 and carried rapidly to a screw 8 through the oscillation of the agitator. Uncleaned toner resulting from the wear of the blade 4 corresponding to its secular change and the uneven surface of the drum 1 is removed and recovered by the fur brush 5, a flicker member 23, a roller 14 for electrostatic adsorption, and a pick-off member in contact with a roller 24. Thus, a cleaning device having excellent cleaning characteristics and durability. |
