1283480 Lock mechanisms SOC D'EXPPOITATION DES BREVETS NEIMAN 10 March 1970 [10 March 1969] 11423/70 Heading E2A A locking mechanism provided with a safety device for preventing inadvertent withdrawal of a key, said locking mechanism including a fixed body 5 and a cylinder 4, wherein the cylinder when engaged by the key can be rotated within said fixed body, the cylinder protruding from the body and having on its end protruding from the body a plate 6 integrally formed therewith, said safety device including either a resilient member 8 pivoted to the fixed body, which resilient member abuts an abutment element 9 on the exterior of the fixed body and an abutment element 7 on the plate or a resilient member 8' fixed to the fixed body which engages an abutment element 10 which is pivoted to the exterior of the fixed body and said abutment element abuts the abutment element 7 on the plate, so that the cylinder is biassed to a position spaced angularly from the key withdrawal position, whereby withdrawal of the key is made possible by exertion of sufficient force on the key to return the cylinder and key to the key withdrawal position. |
