PURPOSE:To constitute lines economically, by transmitting an electric signal for information via a power feeding conductor in parallel with optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:DC power feeding is made from a power feeder 4 to an optical relay device 2 via a power feeding conductor 12 in an optical cable 1 and an electric communication signal is trasmitted from a transceiver 3 to an intermediate relay device 2 via the same power feeding conductor 12. The relay device 2 separates the DC power feeding signal and the electric communication signal transmitted via the power feeding conductor at a filter 6' to make communication with a terminal station 3. |
