PURPOSE:To compensate reactance voltage favorably and improve commutating characteristics by dividing an armature core axially in two, shifting slot position in the circumferential direction, and varying width of a stator core in correspondence with this shift. CONSTITUTION:An armature core is divided axially in two. Slots 14-16 and 14a- 16a for core sections 9 and 9a are shifted to eath other in the circumferential direction by 1/2 slot pitches. A coil 17 is inserted in the slot 14 of one core section 9 by avoiding the same slot of the other core section 9a and separating to neighboring slots 14a and 15a. An interpole 3 of a stator or circumferential width of a field pole is made variable with an core section of armature. As a result, a commutating coil does not cut leakage flux of the main flux and equalization of reactance voltage can be achieved. |
