SKIN DETERGENT COMPOSITION CONTAINING N-ACYL ESTER SARCOSINATE, PVP AND PROTEINACEOUS HYDROLYSATE

A pharmaceutical preparation to be applied to the skin to overcome an acne condition or excessive oilyness consists to overcome ingredients which compliment each other and produce an overall beneficial effect, the ingredients being (1) a sarcosinate which removes the skin oil without excessively drying the skin, (2) a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) which aids in the cleaning of the skin and also forms a protective film on the skin and (3) a protein hydrolysate which serves as a natural replacement for the oil which the other ingredients remove from the skin. Other beneficial agents may be added. The three essential ingredients have not previously been combined in a single preparation.
