PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor with high sensitivity by forming a charge generating layer contg. a pyrazoline compound and a charge transferring layer on an electrically conductive support. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic receptor is manufactured by forming a charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer on an electrically conductive support. An this time, to the charge transferring layer is added a pyrazoline compound represented by formula I (where each of A, A1 and A2 is phenyl which may have a substituent, and n is 1 or 2). The preferred pyrazoline compound includes 1-phenyl-3-(4'-phenyl-1',3'-butadienyl)-5-styryl-pyrazoline represented by formula II. When the pyrazoline compound has 4'-phenyl-1',3'-butadienyl or its deriv. at the 3-position of the pyrazoline ring, it is superior to other pyrazoline compound in electrophotographic characteristics and compatibility with binding resin and causes no crystallization phenomenon, so an electrophotographic receptor with superior mechanical characteristics can be obtd. |
