PURPOSE:To display tidal current measuring data so that they are easily observed and permit accurate circumstantial judgment, by a method wherein measured tidal current and the like are displayed en bloc by means of a circle graph, a bar graph, a digital table and the like. CONSTITUTION:The directions and speeds of the tidal current at respective depths according to Doppler component detection signals by means of ultrasonic detection, together with a vector W corresponding to the direction and speed of a ship, are displayed in a polar coordinate manner by means vectors T-5, T-25 and the like on a circle graph. By a rectangular coordinate display adjacent to said display, the tidal current speeds are displayed by means of a bar graph having different colors for the respective depths. Moreover, the direction and speed of the ship, the direction of the tidal current at a given depth and said depth are displayed en bloc by means of a table. By said display easy to observe, it is possible to make an accurate circumstantial judgment based on the measured tidal current related to habitation of fish. |
