Roof mounted solar heating panel - has open bottom edge to vent interior to prevent misting of glass

The solar heating panel is mounted on a roof and consists of a network of tubes (4) with a corrugated absorber panel (6). The enclosure is insulated below the absorber with a glass panel (1) covering the upper surface. The glass is supported on glazing bars (3). The top and side edges of the panel are sealed whereas the bottom edge is open. This arrangement prevents condensation on the inside of the glass panel and also permits the draining of any water which has leaked into the panel.
