PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous setting operation through confirming whether set data is time or date, by discriminating and displaying whether the input data is time data or date data by comparing the number of digits of the input data with the set number of digits. CONSTITUTION:The mode setting switch 4 of a key input part 1 is operated and time or date data is set with ten keys 2, so that an arithmetic part 14 performs required arithmetic through an ROM10, etc. The arithmetic part 14 stores a count value in the register of an RAM11 and also discriminate whether the count value is equal to the set number of digits of the time data, four, or the set number of digits of the date, six. On the basis of the discrimination signal J, a specific blanking code is stored in the register of the RAM11 at the 5th digit through the ROM10 when the time is set. Consequently, AND gates 23-25, 29, and 30 are controlled through a decoder 19, an FF22, etc., to display forenoon or afternoon data on a display part 17 together with the set numeral, thereby confirming whether the time or date is set. |
