PURPOSE:To permit a roof to bear the load concentration and to prevent overcooling by installing a liquid receiving and delivery pipe recessed in the steel-framed concrete mass of a low-temperature underground tank. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical flat-bottomed concrete mass with steel frames constructed under the ground (a) is lined with insulation 2 and membrane 3 internally. Over this concrete mass structure 1, a roof 4 made of a steel material for use at the normal temperature is installed, from which a suspended roof 6 hangs down with the aid of a suspension rod 5. Over this suspended roof 6 is placed an insulation 7. A receiving and delivery pipe 8a is placed in a hole provided in the concrete mass 1 and another insulation 10a is installed between this pipe 8a and the concrete mass. The lower end of the pipe 8a is open at an appropriate point of the membrane 3 in the tank, and is connected to a horizontal pipe 12, which forms a continuous plane with the membrane 3, and opened there. |
