PURPOSE:To change the rate of operation of a compressor in accordance with the climatic change to realize low fuel consumption by a method wherein the blow-off air temperature from a cooling evaporator and the blow-off air temperature into the compartment of the automobile are detected and the cut-off and put-in operations of the compressor and the set temperatures for actuating said operations are controlled in accordance with the detected values. CONSTITUTION:The compressor 7, which is connected with the evaporator 1 and the like to form a refrigeration cycle, is driven by an engine through an electromagnetic clutch 8. And the compressor 7 is controlled by a control circuit 9 which controls the feeding of electric power to the electromagnetic clutch 8 by the cut-off and put-in operations of the power. The control circuit 9 is connected with a thermistor 10, which is installed just downstream a heating heat exchanger 2 to detect the blow-off air temperature from the evaporator 1, and with a thermistor 11 to detect the blow-off air temperature into the compartment of the automobile. And when the detected temperature of the thermistor 10 exceeds the set value, the compressor 1 is operated and the set value is raised with the rise of the detected temperature of the thermistor 11. |
