摘要 PURPOSE:To produce continuously a polyolefin having a high polymerization activity and a high bulk density in high yields, by (co)polymerizing an olefin with the aid of a catalyst comprising an organometallic compound and a component prepared by supporting a Ti or V vompound on a specified solid carrier. CONSTITUTION:An olefin is (co)polymerized with the aid of a catalyst comprising an organometallic compound, e.g., triethyl-aluminum and a component prepared by reacting (A) a magnesium halide, e.g., MgCl2, (B) a compound of the formula, wherein R is a 1-24C alkyl, an aryl and/or an aralkyl, X is a halogen and n is in the range; 0<n<=3, e.g., aluminum triethoxide, (C) an organic carboxylic acid anhydride, e.g., benzoic anhydride, to form a product (solid carrier) and supporting, on the solid carrier, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a Ti compound, e.g., TiCl4, and a V compound, e.g., VCl4. The present process can provide a high-polymerization activity, high-bulk density polymer in high yields and further can be carried out as a continuous process.
