<p>PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a system by preventing a medium from being deteched carelessly by providing an inpot and output device with a locking mechanism which disables a recording medium to be deteached and by operating it by a locking signal from an input and output controller side. CONSTITUTION:An input and output device 9 where a recording medium 12 is replaceable is provided with a locking mechanism 13 which disables the recording medium 12 physically to be detached. This locking mechanism 13 locks the recording medium 12 in response to a locking signal from the side of an input output 8 side. For example, a locking instruction is read out of the memory 4 of a CPU1 and set in an instruction register 5, a decoder 6 turns on a locking signal line 17. Then, an FF14 is set via a channel device 8 and the locking mechanism 13 locks a door for the replacement of the disk medium 12 and also inhibits the supply of a signal from a panel switch 10 to a control circuit 11 by a gate 18.</p> |
