PURPOSE:To prevent brake lever from getting heavy due to compressive force at the time of braking and reduce brake applying force by improving structural arrangement around the relief valve installed to the hydraulc (oil) shock absorber which prevents a nose-dive upon braking of a two-wheeled vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Dive of the front fork at the time of braking of a two-wheeled vehicle is prevented by pulling down a rod 13 through a brake wire 20 connected to the brake lever, and adjusting set load of a relief spring 7 of relief valve, and through a hydraulic (oil) shock absorber consisting of an outer tube 1 and an inner tube (not indicated in the figure). A body 10, containing a relief valve 6 is devided in two rooms C, D by a circular partition 11 which constitutes the seat of the valve 6, and a rod 13 is inserted into a hole 11A of the partition 11. The relief valve 6 energized by the spring 7 is loosely fitted to this rod 13, and as one body with it a pressure taking area 23 equivalent to that of the valve 6 is formed. |
