Date Jan. 22, 1981.The present invention relates to a slide member which has excellent wear, seizing, and scuffing resistances, and excellent adherence property, and which can be used even under high-temperature conditions, and which is suited for being applied to slide surfaces of piston rings, cylinder liners and slide surfaces of the air compressors for internal combustion engines. For this purpose, according to the present invention, the slide surface has a layer which is formed by plasma spray-coating of a powdery mixture consisting of 5 to 80% by weight of an Fe/Ni alloy and 95 to 20% by weight of an Fe/high-Cr alloy. |
