INVERTED HALF-IMMERSION TYPE CORROSION TESTING

摘要

PURPOSE:To arrange a test piece so that one part is constantly positioned in a gaseous phase and the other part constantly positioned in a liquid phase while still other parts alternately positioned in the vapor and liquid phases according to the repeated inversion. CONSTITUTION:A testing liquid T.L and a testing gas T.G. are housed in a chamber 7 of a container 1 separated from each other to form a liquid phase section and a gaseous phase. The test piece T.P is retained with a retaining mechanism 2 provided on a lid member 8 and an opening 6 is closed with the lid member 8. Connected to the output end of a motor rotating shaft 13, the container 1 is mounted on a support base 3 whereby it is supported in such a manner as to turn vertically. A pair of limit switches 17 and 18 are provided at a specified angular interval along a turning path of an arm 16 fixed on the rotating shaft 13 opens a power source circuit of a motor 4 in a contact with the arm 16 thereby stopping the motor 4. The stopping time of the motor can be adjusted as desired with a timer or the like. After the set time for stopping elapses, an electrical signal is outputted to reverse the rotation of the motor.
