PURPOSE:To reduce the creaking of a tape and also increase the orientation properties, by mixing a specific surfactant into a magnetic paint film. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic paint film contains a <=20pts.wt. surfactant obtained by converting a terminal group OH of the fatty acid mpnoglyceride shown by a general formula in the diagram (R: alkyl group) into ester such as the acetic acid of oleic acid monoglyceride, the ester of malic acid, lauric acid, etc., the butyric acid ester or stearic acid monoglyceride, the caprylic acis ester of lauric acid monoglyceride, etc. to the solid component of the binder resin. Such magnetic paint film is provided on a substrate to form a magnetic recording medium. |
