<p>A system for supporting pendant wall coverings or tapestries without braided borders involves use of a transverse batten which traps surplus material between the rear of the bottom and complementary adhesive coated or interlocking profile mounted on or in the supporting wall. The surplus material is folded over the top of the supporting batten. The matl. may be laid up taut both horizontally and vertically on twin battens to be mounted at the top and bottom, or up each end, of the supporting wall. The batten, and opt. the complementary interlocking block or rail inserts, may be of wood or of a rigid plastic, specifically PVC.</p> |
