The system consists of two vessels e.g. compressed air bottles (1,2) and an air-driven turbine (3). The bottles contain air at different pressures and are connected via a line (4) into which the turbine is connected. The turbine drives an electrical generator. A direct line (5) connects the two bottles. An outlet line (6) connects the first bottle to breathing apparatus (7) from which air is taken by the divers for breathing (8). A valve (9) is located in the direct line and only allows air to flow from the second to the first bottle and is designed so that breathing air always reaches the divers. A stopcock (10) in the connecting line can be used to shut off the turbine.
