The hand operated punch unit is used to mark holes in the field of a 'Lotto' gaming card. Each gaming card has a number of matrix fields of 49 cells. The card is located on a base plate with a full matrix of holes corresponding to the field cells. A top plate has a similar matrix of holes into which tubular particles can be located. A top retaining plate is located against stops to hold the punches in position. The top punch assembly locates on guide pins and is moved downwards against the restraining force of coil springs (7).
