PURPOSE:To achieve compatibility between copying and separation performance, by controlling the potential of conductive carrying member lower at the start of separation of recording medium and higher thereafter by means of an external power supply. CONSTITUTION:The copying from a photoreceptor 1 to a copy paper 4 is made the charging to the paper 4 by a corona discharger 4. The feeding of the paper 4 to the circumference of the photoreceptor 1 is controlled with a resist roller 7. A conductive belt 6 is grounded via a power supply circuit 8 and the potential is controlled with a circuits. The control of the power supply circuit 8 is made with a timing control circuit 9 which starts the operation with the start of rotation of the resist roller 7. The voltage applying timing from the power supply circuit 8 is delayed for a given time based on the start signal of the roller 7 and the potential of the belt 6 is gradually increased with the output of the circuit 8 after the start of separation of the paper 4. |
