The container is made from a blank with sides (1) formed together to form the hexagon and hexagonal end pieces (2) to form the ends. The hexagonal end pieces one fitted with slots (38) and an edge flap (18). The hexagonal end is covered by a rectangular lid with side flaps (16,17) closing over the container. The side pieces extend into flexible flaps (30,31,32,33) which can tuck in under the hexagonal end. The flaps may be strapped together at the ends (34) and (35). The ends rest on inward facing support flanges (22) which are integral with the walls of the container.
