PURPOSE:To serve a large quantity of information at low cost by selectively specifying desirable information by means of a terminal equipment and extracting the information by means of a branching device so as to transmit to the terminal equipment CONSTITUTION:For example, if the great classification of information is specified, the guidance of the middle classification is displayed on a liquid crystal display part 11 with the control of a CPU 6 and a user sets a desirable command by referring to the display. At this time a command for selecting the core of an optical cable 2 is set. Receiving the command, the branching device 4a fetches the page name information to a memory 15 and transmits it to the terminal equipment 3a via a subscriber's cable 5a. Based on the information the CPU 6 and a character generator 9 convert into the character pattern information so as to display on the liquid crystal display part 11 or print in a printer 12. Now, in the crystal display part 11 the contents of display can be scrolled up and down to watch one page of the display. Thus, a large quantity of information can be served at low cost. |
