A mixer tap 1 is designed for use on an element, such as a wall 19 of a shower cubicle. The housing 2 of the mixer tap, accommodating control elements and provided with inlets 3, 4 for hot and cold water adjustment, element housing 2, outlet 5, flow duct 7 and valve housing 8, is located on the outside of the element 19, whilst the operating grip 6 of the control element and the operating grip 10 of the valve spindle 11 are located on the inside of the element. The valve spindle 11 is surrounded by a duct 22b, which leads to a mixed water connection 25 on the inside of the element. No additional hole is therefore required in the element 19 either for connection 25 or for the shower hose 26, whilst the available space inside the element 19 is also increased, since the main part of the mixer tap is located on the outside of the element. <IMAGE>
