<p>The edges (1,2) of strip (3) are rounded-off by two pairs of rollers consisting of rollers (4,5,6,7) each acting on one of the four edges. The roller are provided with shaped circumferences suitable for the radius of the roundings and the axes of the rollers are perpendicular to the plane of the strip (3). Each roller (4,5,6,7) is pressure-loaded in direction of its axis, as well as in direction parallel to the strip plane. By this device all four edges of the strip (3) are rounded-off in one operation and the pressure loading in two perpendicular directions ensures, that possible thickness- and width tolerances are corrected, resulting in a uniform rounding-off quality of the strip.</p> |
