PURPOSE:To make the size of printed dots uniform and to perform high quality recording free from unevenness in density, by changing an energy to be applied onto each heating element in response to the number of elements to be heated. CONSTITUTION:When a serial input signal 11 in time series containing one-line typeprinting information is inputted a decoding circuit 10, the signal is converted into a thermosensitive head-driving parallel signal 12 and inputted into a driving circuit 9. The decoding circuit 10 generates pulses 13 in response to the number of elements to be heated, and the pulses are counted by a counting circuit 14. When the input of the input signal 11 is completed, the counting circuit 14 controls a voltage-controlling circuit 6 on the basis of a signal 15 corresponding to the counted value, so that the circuit 6 outputs a fixed voltage preset in response to the signal 15, and drives selected heated elements 8 of the thermosensitive head 7 by the driving circuit 9. Thus, one-line typeprinting is done onto a thermosensitive sheet. |
