PURPOSE:To automatically obtain a color balance condition in accordance with a color characteristic of a flash by detecting the flash during image-picking up the flash, and providing a means correcting a color balance condition to the condition suitable for the color characteristic of a luminescent light of the flash. CONSTITUTION:When a tungsten light photographing mode is attained by a gain control means MC, switches SWR and SWB are situated together at a terminal T side. With respect to voltage-gain converting circuits VGCR and VGCB for adjusting a compounding ratio of R signal, B signal, voltage supply circuits GVRT and GVBT for the tungsten light are respectively selected, the gain of said converting circuits is adjusted, and a color balance suitable for the tungsten light is set. In such a condition, when the power source switch of a flash device FL is turned on, the switches SWR and SWB and forcibly connected to a terminal D side by a relay RL, to the converting circuit, voltage supply circuits GVRD and GVBD for daylight mode respectively are selected, and the gain of the converting circuit is adjusted by the supplied voltage.
