The agricultural vehicle has a dispensing mechanism at the end with a transverse conveyor below it, movable below the end of the vehicle when not in use. Along one lengthwise edge, the conveyor (8) is detachably suspended from and hinges on the tailboard (7). Along the other, it is suspended by slides or rollers in the lateral longitudinal members (1,2) of the vehicle chassis. The variable-length flexible drive shaft (11) for the conveyor extends transversely below the vehicle load platform, from an output shaft on the main gearbox to the input shaft of the reversible gearbox (12) on the conveyor.
