PURPOSE:To enable automatic detection of small flaws allowing a one-dimensional camera to detect only required light reflected from the thick parts of the mount of a bottle with all unnecessary reflected lights cut through a light shielding plate when they are irradiated from the light source. CONSTITUTION:The mouth 3 of a bottle 1 is irradiated from a light source 3 while a light shielding plate 5 is provided to cut directly irradiated light, unnecessary normal reflected light, scattered light and the like. Abnormally reflected light alone from the thick parts of the mouth 3 is detected with a one-dimensional camera having an image sensor 6 which is larger in the diametric direction of the bottle than the width of the thick part thereof. While the bottle 1 is turned by one cycle, a specified light is detected thereby enabling automatic detection of small flaws such as burr. |
