PURPOSE:To increase the photofixing speed of a recording material contg. a photooxidation color developing system and a photoreduction fixing system by using a Co(III) ammine complex, a photoreducing agent, a hydrogen donor and a chelating agent as the components of the fixing system. CONSTITUTION:An image forming material is manufactured consisting of a photooxidation color developing system composed of a material which forms an oxidizing agent when irradiated with light, a leuco component as a coupler which develops color in the presence of the oxidizing agent and an acid acting as a color developing aid and a photoreduction fixing system composed of a Co(III) ammine complex, a photoreducing agent, a hydrogen donor and a chelating agent. The color developing system is activated with visible light, and by heating and by the action of ultraviolet light the fixing system is activated. Thus, an image is formed in a dry process. By conducting imagewise exposure as one of the activations, a negative-positive or positive-positive image is obtd. |
