PURPOSE:To confirm print information through a small-capacity display device by displaying a part where line-feeding operation is performed when an information to be printed is printed in >=2 lines in a printer which confirms and then prints the print information. CONSTITUTION:When trains of character and numeral information are stored in a storage part and a carriage return instruction RETURN is stored in an address 5, the display can be made simply by giving this code a certain character pattern. When the contents of addresses 18-27 are displayed, a carriage return is made at a point U. This point U for the carriage return is detected and a display control circuit is instructed to display a specific symbol, such as a decimal point, at a position which corresponds to the display digit, displaying the carriage return position. Therefore, even if the capacity of a display part is small, key input contents and print format are confirmed. |
