PURPOSE:To permit seraching of fault points easily with one person by building a receiver in a detector and miniaturizing a titled device. CONSTITUTION:A device 20 is mounted with a detector 1 which detectors pulse current at one end of an insulation characteristic operating bar 16, and a receiver 3 provided with an indicator 18 processing pulse current and indicating the direction of fault points and a switch 19 at the other end, wherein the detector 1 and the receiver 3 are connected by the connecting line placed in the bar 16. The bar 16 is extensible and is designed to offer convenience during searching for fault points. Here, 17 is a hanging band for the purpose of climbing a pole or moving time. To use this, high voltage pulses are applied between a high voltage line 8 and the ground 9 with a high voltage pulse generator 12 by using lead wires 10, 11, and a searching operator 14 climbs a pole P1, hooks the detector 1 part of the receiver 20 on the high voltage line and checks the direction of the pulse current. |
