PURPOSE:To increase the transmitting efficiency and reliability, by sampling pulse inputs at all times, regarding them as the data of ''1'' or ''0'', and transmitting the data as the result of pulse count when the transmission side receives a control signal. CONSTITUTION:A transmission signal transmitted from transmitters 1, 3 to a transmission line 2, consists of a synchronizing word SW and information words IW0- IWn. The information words IW0-IWn of the transmitter 1 have word address and data consisting of a plurality of bits, respectively and specified bits in the data are assigned for transmission of a pulse input PI. Normally, the transmitter 3 transmits the data taking the period of the presence of pulse as ''1'' and other periods as ''0'' per the input PI pulse and counts the number of productions of pulse. Further, in transmitting instruction reading out the pulse counting result of PI at the IW0 from the transmitter 3 to the transmitter 1, the transmitter 1 transmits this result of count in the IW0 as the data. The transmitter 1 returns to normal transmission after the end of this transmission. |
