<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to output an enlarged font pattern based on font pattern data on each character according to a character font form, by storing intrinsic enlarging interpolation data on each character font together with each character font data. CONSTITUTION:In the case of an enlarging processing for character font data 6 stored in a font memory 1, partial interpolation and total interpolation are separately performed. Column bit data is sequentially read from the font memory 1 in a column direction, and immediately after the 2nd column and immediately after the 4th column, a partial interpolation gate 2 is selected by a multiplexer 4, and partial interpolation data 1d, 1e are read. On the other hand, to perform total interpolation, the column bit data obtained through partial interpolation is sequentially read in a row direction by 8 bits, and immediately after the 2nd row and immediately after the 4th row, a total interpolation gate 3 is selected by the multiplexer 4, and total interpolation data 1f, 1g are read, whereby enlarged font data 7 can be obtained.</p> |
